Online and Physical
If you’re new to yoga, or new to us, then this page will give you all the information you need to know about the style and structure of our yoga classes As well as the times and days our yoga classes run, there’s also more info on the pricing structure too, which can help you save money, depending on how many classes you would like to do.
Online classes
The online yoga classes have been running since April 2020 and vary from week to week in terms of theme and focus, so there's always new elements to learn and new tricks and tips to pick up. The online classes are just as popular now as they were in lockdown. We run these via Zoom and the majority of people leave their cameras on so we get a feel for people’s energy levels and ability throughout the class. You will be muted upon arrival into the class, which means you can join late if you need to without worrying about disrupting the class.
Structurally the classes are similar, we tend to start with breathing and gentle stretches, before moving onto Sun Salutations to warm the body up. We work through a series of standing and balancing poses, followed by seated or floor work; and then move onto some gentle backbends and inversions, ending with a little relaxation.
With the variety of themes each month, we may focus on opening the hips one month or shoulder mobility and strength the next. Some sessions are mixed so you get to work the whole body. With the online, it's more which time and day suits you.
Another great online session tonight. You are particularly good at helping improve body awareness, with exactly the right descriptions of the precise spots for feeling stretches, or specific muscles working which slowly transfers to our own practice and even our everyday movements. Fabulous. Thank you Emma.

Online yoga library - access anytime
If the online class times and days don’t suit you, or you just don’t like Zoom, then you may like to explore the Online Yoga Class Library we have. It’s a website platform that you can access anywhere, with a simple password. With over 230 yoga class videos available, there’s something for everyone, including themed and focused classes, restorative and Yin Yoga sessions, as well as Ashtanga Primary and Second Series sessions.
Other yoga style classes
There are two exceptions to the schedule, in terms of style. Every weekday at 7:45am we do a core-focussed short 15 minute exercise drills. Even if you are brand new to this type of workout you’ll quickly develop strength benefiting your other yoga sessions as well as your posture in your day to day life.
On Tuesday evenings, we run an online Ashtanga yoga class which can be a stronger, faster-paced session but the beauty of this is that it’s a set routine of postures, so as you become more familiar with the sequence as you progress and it can start to feel easier. I teach this as a led, guided class so it’s suitable for beginners too. I always provide modifications so the yoga class is accessible to everyone. It’s a longer class at 90 minutes. We do alternate this class by doing the Ashtanga Primary Series one week and the Ashtanga Second Series the following week. During this online class, via Zoom, people typically leave their cameras on, so more personalised feedback can be provided, if requested.
