UK North Wales Yoga Retreat - Weekend Schedule
What this weekend actually feels like for you:
This isn’t a packed, back-to-back schedule.
It’s a balance of movement, rest, good food and time outdoors.
Enough structure to guide you… with plenty of space to breathe.
Everything is optional.
Many people come on their own.
You can take it entirely at your own pace.
🌿 Friday — arrive, land, slow down
Arrive from 3pm and settle into your surroundings.
Take a breath. Make a cup of tea in your little outdoor kitchen, with a view. Let your busy week and responsibilities start to drop away as you take in the quiet of the Welsh countryside.
6pm — Restorative Yoga
We’ll begin gently with a slow, guided, restorative session to help you unwind from the week and arrive fully into the weekend. Think candles, blankets, warmth and deep relaxation.
7:30pm — Supper & welcome
A relaxed, light supper shared together.
All our food is plant-based, cooked from scratch and with the very best ingredients used. We pride ourselves on preparing meals high in fibre, protein-rich and plant-diverse for a variety of tastes, colour and to ensure each meal is highly nutritional. You’ll eat over 120 different plants across 6 meals! Now that’s real plant-diversity.
We’ll sit, chat, get to know each other and ease into the weekend around the fire. I’ll also walk you through what’s to come — so you can settle in knowing exactly what to expect.
Perhaps heading back to your camp beds to switch on your log burner, sit, read or perhaps enjoy an early night to set you up for a full but rewarding day ahead.
🌿 Saturday — move, nourish, explore
8am — Morning yoga
We start the day with an energising flow to wake up the body, build strength and improve mobility.
All levels are welcome, with modifications provided throughout.
This is an opportunity to see where you’re at and where you might need help to improve and progress. The upcoming Workshops and designed for everyone and we like to meet people where they’re at with their yoga, rather than setting a bar. We want to make the yoga classes and workshops feel inclusive, fun and useful. This is one of the reasons we take a small group.
9:15am — Breakfast
A nourishing, plant-based breakfast and freshly squeezed juice designed to energise you for the day ahead.
Simple, delicious food that leaves you feeling good. Always served with a tea and a proper, freshly ground coffee. Remember, we use the best ingredients. No cost-cutting here!
11am — Workshop: understanding your body
A practical, friendly workshop focused on typical body imbalances and how to work with your own individual body, more effectively.
You’ll leave with a better understanding of how you move — and tools you can take into your everyday life.
1pm — Lunch
A picnic based, plant-diverse lunch to refuel and recharge, while we (hopefully) bask in the sun.
Afternoon — Free time / wild swim
Time to slow down.
You might choose to join the wild swim, onsite — an invigorating, memorable part of the weekend — or simply rest, read, run, walk or an afternoon ‘nana’ nap in your hammock!
There’s no pressure to do anything. This is your weekend.
Some people take the opportunity to get some cold / heat therapy by doing a couple of rounds of a cold dip, followed by a stint in the sauna.
This can be really invigorating and rejuvenating.
Or why not take the plunge with the cold bucket shower instead!
7pm — Dinner
We regroup for a relaxed, candlelit plant-based feast. This is my favourite part of the weekend to see everyone with hearts and bellies full and enjoying each others company.
Good food, good conversation and a chance to unwind after the day.
🌿 Sunday — bring it together
8:30am — Morning yoga
A final energising flow to bring everything together and leave you feeling strong, open and connected.
9:45am — Breakfast
Another nourishing start to the day with a tropical twist and that proper coffee.
11am — Workshop
A playful, supportive session exploring slightly more challenging movements (with options for everyone).
This is about building awareness, confidence and taking something meaningful and fun away with you.
1:15pm — Lunch
A slow, final meal together.
Time to reflect, chat and soak up the last moments of the weekend.
2:30pm — Departure
Head home feeling clearer, lighter and more connected.
Or, if you’d like, take your time and explore the surrounding area before heading off.
“An 11/10 weekend… I left feeling completely reset. Highly recommend.”
Your Host
I’m Emma, founder of The Good Food Yogi.
I’ve been teaching yoga for over 10 years, working with people who want to feel stronger, move better and build a consistent, long-term practice.
My approach is simple — less intensity, more awareness.
Helping you understand your body, rather than just push through it.
Retreats are one of my favourite things to run.
They give us the space to step away from the usual routine, move our bodies in a more thoughtful way, and properly switch off — something that’s often hard to do in day-to-day life.
Alongside yoga, I bring in my love of plant-based food, sharing simple, nourishing meals that support how you want to feel over the weekend.
It’s always a relaxed, friendly environment.
Many people come on their own, and by the end of the weekend, it never feels that way.
“I’ve been running retreats like this for a number of years and they’ve become a really special part of what I do.”
