£26.00

Understand your body better - Train Smarter

Friday 16th January 2026, 9:30-10:30am

@Gladstone’s Library, Hawarden

Join us for a fun and friendly yoga workshop to understand your body better. Whether you have a regular yoga practice already or are just wanting to pick up some helpful techniques to improve, or even get you started, this 2 hour yoga workshop will be beneficial in understanding yoga on an individual level, for your body type.

We may or may not know the shapes / postures but we do want to feel the benefits; whether it’s a deeper stretch or where and why to apply resistance. When we get to know our body type, we can adjust our practice accordingly to feel a greater benefit, every time you practice.

Workshops can be more explanatory and give you an opportunity to repeat, learn, understand and implement for your own body’s benefit. These key tools can help you progress in your practice faster.

In this workshop you’ll:

  • Learn how to safely go into and hold some key foundational yoga postures, for your body type

  • Learn other key yoga postures and understand what you’re trying to achieve in each

  • Have the opportunity to ask questions throughout

  • Have the opportunity to have your postures checked for safety, taking into account any injuries

  • Gain a good understanding of what your main focus is for your own personal yoga journey.

This is a perfect re-cap workshop if you already have a regular practice and want to learn more about how you may make subtle tweaks and adjustments to your practice to gain progress. This is also suitable for complete beginners, where you can take time to learn to do some of the key postures, for your body type, allowing you to gain confidence before attending your first yoga class.

It’s also a great session for regular yogis who want to deepen their understanding and learn to find deeper engagement in the key yoga postures, allowing you to take this knowledge further into other postures.

You can then put all this into practice in the regular, weekly Tuesday morning Gentle Yoga class, also at Gladstone’s Library in Hawarden, North Wales. Just 20 minutes from Chester.
